A Bay Area Elementary School has spent $250,000 on a 'Woke Kindergarten' program only to see its student's literacy and numeracy rates plunge.
The 'Woke Kindergarten' program states its mission as an 'abolitionist early learning ecosystem' that trains teachers to uproot white supremacy, disrupt racism and oppression which are barriers to learning.
After spending the federal money on the program Glassbrook Elementary in Hayward saw numeracy among its 474 students fall to a new low of just 4 percent and literacy just 12 percent.

Maybe there aren’t enough people worked up over this, in CA. You would think there’d be a protest. A peep.
Come to think of it, it probably happens in PA with somewhat better numbers. There are schools here with under 60 percent literacy, and certainly academics given to woke virtue signaling.
Not like a visit to the school board meeting is going to change anything.

Hayward was once known as the farmers. It was a bucolic small town south of Oakland. A friend graduated from their High School long ago. He has a Ph.D., and in his grammar school class of 26 students, 18 went to college and five got doctorates. Tempus fugit!
Well, one of the questions in the article is a simple one. “If the police are defunded, how can we keep people safe?” Or something to that effect. That’s an easy one. Drop leftists like her out of helicopters. Problem solved.

Explains a lot. Blacks are safe votes for Democrats because they’ll always be black, meaning they will always be part of that group, they’re stuck with their skin color.
But, as Texas Democrats have learned the hard way, Hispanics tend to go off the reservation once they get a decent education, and so Democrats, through many methods, including Spanish-language (rather than English language) schools, have to intentionally prevent Hispanics from getting an education, or risks losing control of them.
Texas was educating Hispanics decently, and now Hispanics vote nearly 50/50 (Dem/Rep) and thus Texas remains solid red, when all of the ‘experts’ said it would go blue, nearly 20 years ago. But that was when Hispanics were voting 80/20.
California didn’t make that ‘mistake’, so they’ve managed to keep enough of their Hispanics on the plantation to make the state single-party.
Dumb uneducated people are easier to control
