Running a small business has been a “special experience” for Mimi Striplin, the 31-year-old owner of The Tiny Tassel in Charleston.
Striplin started her jewelry company nine years ago and opened her first brick-and-mortar storefront in 2021, where she also sells whimsical clothing designed by her mother and goods made by other Black women-owned businesses. Her local community has helped uplift her business, she said, but she’s also experienced the hard times that come with entrepreneurship, especially now.
When she was invited to meet with President Joe Biden a few weeks ago as part of a small business roundtable ahead of the state’s February 3 primary, she had a simple message for him: See us. “I wanted him to think about faces like mine when he is speaking on policies and really moving things,” Striplin, who is also Asian American, told CNN.

I live in Georgia. The mayor and deep state have been after Trump since the election. The communities don’t like it.
When Trump was in town, blacks lined the streets his car was on.. Cheering and waving.. Signs.. A big welcome.
Yes! I saw a video last week of blacks in the Bronx saying they’re for Trump, I couldn’t believe it! He absolutely absolutely should hold a rally there, oh my God can you imagine what he could say to the black community? “Are you tired of being played by the Democrat party? Are you sick of them putting you second to illegal aliens? Don’t fall for the con job! No more!” Talk about making leftist heads explode! Do you think if he does get that number down to 75% it would be enough to push him over the top?
Are you kidding? They closed it for ILLEGALS!??? holy cow! Yes! Where the hell is the Republican party? They are absolutely pathetic!! One opportunity after another they miss.
Oh wow that would be awesome, Black lives Maga, Trump should hold a rally in a black community and totally push that. Besides being dissed they also hate being scammed which democrats and BLM did to them, and Trump should exploit that to the last atom. “BLM bought mansions with money meant for YOU! How many of them were indicted? NONE!” Oh God, the stuff he could bring up would be immense! “Free hotels, free money, free food for illegal aliens! What did you get? nothin!”

Blacks block vote for Dems 90%+-we all hear how they will change but it is the gov checks that keep them coming back, Hispanics vote 70% Dem and that is what gets Dems elected in most blue states like CA , not the mythical white liberal

If her shop got looted a couple of times, she might change her mind.
At this stage of the game, why should I care if black people want to stay on the porch? they like it there and it appears they belong there watching over the plantation.
Next month we will be celebrating White History Month and the headlines will talk about how white folks will help President Trump return civilization and prosperity to the country....
