MOSCOW, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Russian investigators said on Thursday they had evidence showing that Ukraine's military shot down a Russian Il-76 military transport plane last week with U.S.-made Patriot surface-to-air missiles.
Among the fragments were serial numbers with English acronyms, including "CONFIDENTIAL classified by PATRIOT SECURITY CLASSIFICATION GUIDE DATED: 9/22/83 ADDENDUM DATED 11/28/83 8/8/84 CONTRACT NO/DAAH01-86C-A018'," the committee said in a statement.
"The fragments seized from the scene, according to their design features, geometric characteristics and available markings, are structural elements of the MIM-104A anti-aircraft guided missile of the Patriot complex of the United States, developed by Raytheon and Hughes corporations and manufactured by Raytheon," the committee said.

Lets start with the notion that the Patriot is a defensive system designed to shoot down incoming missiles, not a shoot and scoot front line offensive weapon. Then move to the part where Ukraine specifically promised not to use Western weapons like this to attack Russian soil.
It was a dumb move on Ukraine's part with unknown implications for the West. Some speculate this is the real reason Zelensky decided to remove Zelushny.

The claims and counterclaims about the conflict in the Ukraine are a Gordian Knot.
Even the Halfrican, who isn't the brightest bulb in the drawer, knew not to mess around with escalating on the Russian border.
The current fools and their sockpuppet in the White Hospice aren't bright enough to stay away from escalation.
That was in response to the US succeeding in the violent overthrowing of the democratically elected president of Ukraine in order to get a US warmonger in there. We are good at that.
Most of Putin's time and speeches are actually reports to various bureaucracies he is required to report to.
Western Media has mislabeled Putin's reports to various bureaucracies and legislative bodies as "Speeches" unilaterally advocating policy when they are reports discussing policy.
Putin does request legislation and policy changes, however he's not guaranteed to get them, and he is required to discuss them with the relevant bureaucracy.
This bureaucracy is powerful, is not going away, and neither is the Russian Federation equivalent of State Department.
That's why Russia uses Diplomacy and Bureaucratic management so much.
And it probably hurts them some.

Also it is one of the reasons countries are jampacked in line waiting to be admitted in BRICS+. They just admitted 6 more countries and 36 more have recently applied. Russia is the sponsor of BRICS. I don’t believe the current crop of fools in the WH know much about anything - not even that they are working for a shell of a man but hey - it’s a government paycheck which is opening the door to bigger things on the taxpayer dime...Others who have served in the WH have the habit of never disappearing. Makes me shudder when news reports mention that idiot Jake Sullivan is/was conferring with foreign leaders..
