“Real Time” host Bill Maher offered caution ahead of the four criminal trials of former President Trump, predicting they will make him look like a “revolutionary leader” as the 2024 campaign unfolds. In an interview published Monday by Reason Magazine, Maher shared his pessimism about the upcoming election, which is increasingly looking like a rematch between Trump and President Biden.
“I think I’m where a lot of people are: I wish Biden would step aside,” Maher said. “Well, first, I wish Trump doesn’t win, but he totally could, and it’s looking more like he will. But a lot can change in a year. We haven’t had any of his trials—although if the January 6 commission and the media and everything else haven’t changed people’s minds about liking him, I think these trials are only going to make him look like a revolutionary leader.”
He continued, “All you have to say is, ‘The people who put me on trial were corrupt!’ And then your ignominious behavior becomes a badge of honor. So whether the trials are going to help or hurt him, it’s hard to say. I think it’ll be about a draw, and then it’ll really be a referendum on which side is crazier.”

He is a revolutionary leader, a revolution against the traitors destroying this country.

That’s accurate by everything I’ve seen.
More and more Black males and Hispanics are supporting Trump.

Well, anyone who doesn’t want Trump to win wants more illegals, their crime and drugs, more inflation, and more war.
Folks like Maher supposedly are smart, but they lack common sense.
I see a marketing racket for President Trump. Like the Che Guevara shirts except President Trump’s face instead.
Biden has been lusting after being President for 50 years.
He loves being the big shot and it’s not like he has to do a lot of work.
And if he leaves, he loses all power to fight his criminal corruption problems
No way is this guy going to leave unless forced out.
He aims to die in office and he could really care less what happens to the country or anyone once he is gone
don’t forget his lovely bride- no way will she let him step down.
Plus they have extra protection for Hunterboy while Joe’s prezzy.
I'll make a prediction for Maher: if your fellow travelers continue on this course (jailing political opponents, harassing the law abiding while coddling criminals, forcing mandates, etc) , you may actually wind up with a revolutionary leader, and his/her last name probably won't be Trump.
But his handlers are all about power.

He has his audience and plays to them.
This is probably the most accurate assessment from the left in a long time.
America has been angry at its gov since Bush41.
They increasingly see Trump as a badass with street cred.
Trump is law and order. Where people are resistant to him or hate him their resistance to give in to law and order is an issue in probably most cases

That’s all true, but I don’t see how they he can stop them if his handlers want him out.
The best leverage he has is that they don’t want Harris either.
My guess is that they will have Biden step down for health reasons in mid October. Harris will assume the office of POTUS when it’s too late for team Trump to re-tool his campaign. The fake news will fawn all over her as the first female POTUS.
I’m sure the Democrats would rather have someone better than Harris, but she will be tough for Trump to beat.
Trump is looking good running against an even older white male, suffering from dementia, corrupt as hell and making a total mess of both domestic and foreign policy: Suddenly, he will be running against a younger blackish female - dumb as a box of nails - but bearing little if any responsibility for Biden administration’s failures.
Everyone knows the VP deserves no credit for anything - it no blame either.
