The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that 135 people were sickened with an “unknown” illness while on board a cruise ship operated by Cunard Line.
In an update issued on Jan. 31, the agency said that the predominant symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea, but it said the “causative agents” are “unknown.” Out of about 2,700 passengers and crew, 135 were sickened on Cunard Line’s Queen Victoria, which is on a planned voyage from Jan. 22 to Feb. 12. However, the cases that have been currently reported “do not represent the number of active (symptomatic) gastrointestinal cases at any given port of call or at disembarkation,” the agency said.

Norovirus Breaks Stereotype as Hospitalizations Soar Beyond Cruise Ships
If true, could be a number of factors at play here
None good for Big Cruise.
Mandatory hand washing. With the “washy washy” girls singing songs and spraying hand sanitizer.
Not symptomatic of the Flu. More like a stomach bug
That was a fun movie.

Still wearing a covid mask are you?
Not for me...Germ ferries.
Weren’t some of the earliest detected covid cases on a cruise ship? I believe they were. Now another unknown illness. On a cruise ship. Hm.
Yep- a relative in a other state just got over a flu where he was throwing up 16 times in a day, mostly dry heaves. He hasn’t thrown up in over 40 years he said, but this flu really got him.
Probably Norovirus?

Someone ordered the fish.
Just wait until this hits the new cruise ship that is 21 stories high and holds 8,000 passengers.
Cunard still operates? WoW!
Came back from a cruise on 26 Jan ‘00. Hospitalized with ‘undiagnosed coronavirus’ (plus influenza A, pneumonia and a heart attack) on 02 Feb ‘00. Negative tests on all the coronaviruses they had tests for. Very hard to breathe and oxygen was only a marginal benefit. Symptoms matched covid tho. The hospital threw everything at it (7 IV meds). They cleared it in 5 days. Then they gave me a quad bypass to assist damaged organ healing. Thank G! this was before the Covid Protocols came out.
Still liked the cruise tho.
Still cruising. Just came back from one last month, similar dates to the ‘00 cruise. And look, it’s 02 Feb and I’m ok -so far, lol.
