The Takata inflators have been a thing across many makes and models for a couple of years now, haven’t they? I’m pretty sure I had a recall for them on my ‘05 Ranger back in 2017.

I have a Matrix. Great car, but the Takata airbag recall happened many years ago. I took it in and had them replaced.
End of story?
Not quite. As the article says, there has been another recall. In addition to the first recall.

I’m safe. My Toyota and its airbags are older than that.

...the owners of 50,000 older U.S. vehicles to get immediate recall repairs because an air bag inflator could explode and potentially kill motorists. YIKES
