Internal turmoil is roiling the Michigan GOP as it looks to retake a key 2024 battleground that’s shown signs of moving away from President Biden.
A Decision Desk HQ/The Hill average of polls out of the Great Lakes State shows former President Trump several points ahead of Biden after the Democrat flipped Michigan blue in the 2020 election. Concerns are also growing that the state’s sizable Arab American population won’t turn out for Biden amid anger over the war in Gaza.
But the Michigan GOP is facing its own setbacks. Republicans there voted this month to oust the controversial Kristina Karamo from her role as state GOP chair, but she’s insisted she’s still in control — sparking a party leadership power struggle as the Republicans eye what should be a prime pickup opportunity.

Michigan doesn’t need to “flip”, they just need a legal and accurate vote count.

I believe I would credit that to vote fraud until mail in ballots are stopped.
That’s funny. I was in Grand Rapids two years ago when the convention was in town and witnessed it. The Kraken lawyer also brought her skills to Michigan (is now disbarred?) I agree the Michigan republican party could be a mess for a decade or more, though.
So typical— the GOP snatching defeat against all odds. Why am I not surprised.

First, we recently learned that the RNC under the inept direction of Ronna Romney McDaniel only has a paltry $9 million cash on hand.
This morning, AZ’s new GOP head revealed her state is BROKE.
I also understand we are in shambles in PA as well.
The clock is ticking and it’s appalling how no action is being taken to raise the half billion of campaign coffers, organize GOTV efforts and enhance election security.
Finally, speaking of Michigan not fielding candidates, I live in the forsaken state of Maryland. Our Rat Senator Cardin is retiring and there doesn’t seem to be any viable Republican contender anywhere on the horizon.
Last time, when our other Rat Senator Van Hollen was up for re-election, I couldn’t find a website for his challenger and never even saw a photo.
PLEASE, GOP, let’s get our act together asap before it’s too late so we don’t wake up to a PERMANENT nightmare November 6th!!!
If you believe electoral votes count for something (guess what? they do) Trump is going to have to win states like Michigan and Arizona in a close election. Both states republican parties are in turmoil (another inconvenient truth.) This is not pro-trump, anti-trump, nevertrump, rino, uniparty or otherwise. It is a fact. Grow up. Understand facts not simple feelings - “we was robbed,” has never won an election.
They will go for him before Trump he’s their type of guy he loves wars.
The big money people were voted out. The loss for them was sooo bad that they walked out of the convention.
Now they want their party back.
They staged a fake party meeting and voted out our elected leader.
Now it goes to court.
Trump people are still going to vote for President Trump.
And the communists will still vote for the commies.
But, now we know that bush league chamber of commerce worshipping republiCAN’Ts are indeed communists.
While I understand and agree with your point, you’re going to have an uphill climb convincing the perpetually angry folks here of the same. They just want to lash out at anyone and everyone who doesn’t enthusiastically take Trump down their throat. It’s quite cult-like. Feelings over facts, unfortunately.
Yeah, but right now the perception (and the reality) is that the “Biden” administration is waging war on Islam.
That may not matter, however, because the “Biden” administration will disenfranchise however many voters it takes by whatever means necessary to “flip” MI, WI, PA, GA, NV, AZ and likely some other states as well.

Well, there is everywhere in GOP battle between the Ultra MAGA, who would like to clean the party to there liking and get rid of everybody else.
That would obviously meant that party will never win any general election. Dems rejoice!
If the radicals win, Republican party will became the Gun Owners of America - small group of purists whom nobody else listens.
They are usually novices who think everybody else is a whimp, RINO, sellout, or corrupt. I think they listen too much to radio.
People, who dedicated their whole life to GOP, volunteer uncounted hours, donated bunch of money and never get anything of value out of it, are tared, called names and attempted to be run out of town.
These radical are absolutely unable to beat any Democrats, even in Dogcatcher race. But they are content to take over GOP, disrupt meetings with useless motions, becoming a total nuisance! Then they blame everything on stolen election.
They even proclaim, that it is better to loose with honor than win.
Even Trump sees it now and he starts to distances himself from them!
His support for Hoekstra and Gina Swoboda in AZ shows it!
You, you know whom I am talking about, better stop destroying our party and start working to defeat Democrats!
The reality is he’s the only hope they have they have ways also.
