“How could a rational body of
people actually believe this woman?”
This is Carroll’s New York article:

Carroll was a professional writer for decades and knows how to tell a story.
Every loose end tied up in the best possible way.
Sherlock Holmes would admire her. And so would Lt. Columbo.
Thank you for the link.
Look, between you and me, I got less than one page into it
and bowed out. She is extremely annoying the things she
brings up.
One thing I did find interesting. She can perfectly remember
the day one person did something to her. The day Trump was
reported to have done something to her, she can’t remember
the day, the month, the year, or even the season.
She claimed it was in 1994, then 1995, and even 1996.
She says she told her friends after it happened. Evidently
they can’t refresh her memory on when it happened, so you
have to wonder why not.
The jury refused to convict on rape. The judge then made
comments in public that it was probably rape.
There was no closed circuit TV. There were no witnesses.
She has accused other well known people of doing something
like this to her also. She said Les Moonves the former CEO
of CBS did.
She worked with the New York state to get a law passed so
she could file suit against Trump after the statute of
limitations expired.
She never pinned down a date, and Trump could not level a
defense of himself based on his schedule, even if he was
in the nation at the time.
Trump was prevented from bringing a lot of stuff like this
up, but she was able to get some television footage entered
into evidence, that had nothing to do with the case. It
was a segment where he said he had done some things with
women, which had nothing to do with this case. It was
very prejudicial. The judge allowed it.
Note, you can’t as a man talk about a woman’s past, no
matter what, but she could get this video clip entered
as evidence in the trial. Even if he had been convicted
before of a similar charge, they could not have mentioned
that before the jury, but they could do this.
Even up to the state level, this case was rigged.
There are a number of other issues too.
This one stinks to high heavens.
