U.S. cities were doomed more than a century ago. Some saw a surge during WW2 but even those peaked in 1950.

There's simply nothing to stop San Francisco from continuing its decline like other American cities. The dotcom money is gone. The only industries left are the Grievance Industry and the Rape-The-Taxpayer Industry.

• Indianapolis - No. While SF's flagship mall goes down the tubes, Indy's Circle Centre Mall just sold to Hendicks (who hit a home run with Ironworks), who have outlined over half-a-billion in investment. Indy would be a close 2nd to the US' post-war capital behind Dallas.

• Nashville - The new Atlanta is on your list? C'mon, man. The last time I was there two months ago there were 4 of the US' tallest construction cranes spread out in places I never would have imagined, like Germantown and The Gulch. Place is a development nightmare. Criminals still get arrested and must post bail.

• St. Louis - The good side of the Missouri River is growing exponentially. Stroke of luck that the airport is nearby, and you can get in and out of downtown and the universities without much concern. Not a fan but not on this list.

I live around 10 miles from the Boston Harbor and have no idea why the city hasn’t gone down completely down the toilet like the rest.
Maybe the reputation of being racist?
