I think you’re starting the flame war! I don’t see the ST:TOS bridge cast as representing “Woke”. Not as they define “Woke” now. It was just people doing their job competently and strongly implied they got there by merit. If anything it represented how things should be.

Doesn’t matter how they define woke NOW. What matters is that 58 years ago Gene Roddenberry very deliberately and on purpose set out to make Star Trek the most progressive, pro-diversity, anti-racist, anti-judgement show on television. By the modern parlance: WOKE. Star Trek is, was, and always will be woke. Whatever people are calling that heavy on the diversity mindset 20 years from now will be what Trek is doing. IDIC. Trek has always been about IDIC. The only thing that ever changes is that as we move through our own decades people see more groups to include into the D, and then the next Trek puts them there too.
