Things evolve. That’s the nature of things. The fact of the matter is when Roddenberry cast Majel Barrett to be 2nd in command Trek quite deliberately became the most woke thing on TV. Huh? What? Majel Barrett was cast as head nurse Chaphill on the Enterprise, and she had the hots for Spock.

Not in the FIRST pilot. Which became The Cage. She was Number One, Una Chin Riley, in that version. 2nd in command.

He was talking about Majel Barret playing Number One in the pilot episode The Cage. The network execs said to remove the woman from being 2nd in command. They also said to get rid of Spock, but Roddenberry and Lucile Ball drew the line on that. LOL

You’re obviously not a true trekker. Otherwise you would know that there were in fact two pilot episodes. Majel was cast as Number One in the first on.
She got demoted to nurse chapel in the second.
