President Joe Biden Halts Decisions on Liquefied Natural Gas Exports to Combat ‘Climate Crisis’

President Joe Biden’s (D) administration announced Friday it is temporarily pausing pending decisions on liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports as part of a move to combat so-called “climate change.”

In his statement, Biden said there will be a pause but “with the exception of unanticipated and immediate national security emergencies.”

He added that officials will probe the “impacts of LNG exports on energy costs, America’s energy security, and our environment. This pause on new LNG approvals sees the climate crisis for what it is: the existential threat of our time.”

Halted until after the election. Then he’ll shut it down.

Won’t affect US consumers. Heavily affects Germans (desperately needing LNG at present). Means the market belongs mostly to Qatar. Someone slipped Joe or Hunter several million to lessen the US market.

it’s exported LNG. So (I am guessing) this is designed to hurt our GDP, our balance of payments, and certain foreign economies (SE asia, Europe) that could use LNG. (Otherwise, what sense does it make?)

The Clintons said something similar about the Keystone Pipeline.

Trump was big on the LNG industry especially exports. It created jobs and brought cheaper gas to Europe.

Obama is cancelling this because of their hatred toward Trump.
It’s personal.

In the short term, there is no impact. This only affects a few unapproved projects that are years from being completed. Meanwhile there are 6 approved projects that will go on, increasing our exports in coming years, assuming there is a market.

There is no climate crisis. Natural Gas is the same stuff that is rising out of the oceans due to VOLCANOES, and ALL LIFE is made of CARBON. How stupid are the people who believe this crap?

This is a rather senseless decision. Any gas that cannot be captured to sell is burned off into the atmosphere. The two choices are burn it off with not positive economic impact or capture and sell it which adds to economic prosperity.
Biden seems to continually find new ways to destroy the American economy.

Here’s something Joe doesn’t understand; or doesn’t want to understand.....there is no climate crisis. Sometimes bad weather happens & it’s been this way for a long, long time.
