Chicago’s self-professed “progressive” Mayor Brandon Johnson is demanding a “ceasefire” in the action between Israel and Hamas terrorists, even as his city remains awash in gang violence.
Johnson spoke out on Wednesday as the city council debated a formal resolution condemning Israel for its efforts to root out and destroy the terror group responsible for the raid into Southern Israel that ended in more than a thousand dead Israeli civilians and more than 230 kidnapped citizens. More than 130 still remain in captivity at the hands of Hamas and several other terror groups.
During his comments on Jan. 24, Johnson claimed that “we” need a ceasefire. He prefaced his comments by speaking of “the violence that broke out several months ago,” but refused to properly define the Hamas foray into Southern Israel as a terror attack.

Only a “Johnson” would think he has a say about a cease-fire in Gaza how about a “cease-fire” in Chicago Mr. Mayor?

Brandon needs to stay in his lane and clean around his own back door. As mayor, Gaza and Israel are none of his business, not what he is paid for or why he was elected but on that score I don’t know why he was elected. Chicago is a nine line free fall fluster cluck and he should have plenty to do with that on his hands without meddling in someone else’s business.

Yup, he has as much business pontificating about Israel as the mayor of Haifa has talking about Chicago.
Hamas doesn’t want a ceasefire. They had one and broke it. They’ve been offered another and refused it. If anything the pro hamasians should be chanting no ceasefire non ceasefire.
During a wild night of crossfire automatic weapons rounds between rival gangs in Chicago, Mayor Brandon Johnson took off his soaking wet white briefs and put them on a stick to raise above his head for a momentary ceasefire to crawl to his limo and rush home. Figures that could be a model for peace in the Middle East.

Currently Chicago is probably safer than Gaza. Six months from now, or even six months ago, probably not.
There was also a cease fire in place when the October 7 attack took place. Break a cease fire to kill over 1,100 and take around 250 hostages, then ask for another cease fire. Makes sense to a lot of people, particularly on the far left like Johnson.
