This morning on CNN the question was asked
Video: Karine Jean-Pierre On Federalizing the Texas National Guard

It’s an election year trap for Brandon.
Dangerous times are almost here , any month now
Sounds like a mission for the Texas Militia!
Oh sure. And when Abbott calls up the militia composed of all able-bodied citizens in Texas capable of bearing arms??? Gonna “nationalize” them too?
It’s an election year trap for Brandon.
___
Please cut the wire Brandon with all the media there (TX can just replace it later)
Is an island bombardment in the cards?
is this so biden could make the texas guard let the border patrol in to cut the wire?
I would wager that there is some interesting history on Texas joining the Union and in Texas having a right to defend itself from invasion.
This should be an interesting court case to see play out. A “Solomon-like” final court decision on appeal would likely “split the baby” and say Texas is unique unlike any other state, and can use is powers (not taken away by the US federal Constitution) to defend itself from an invasion, even if that invasion is because of federal public policy.
What a liar curly is!
And if I were Abbott, I would have cameras at the ready to show federal agents cutting wire and escorting illegals through.
Time to start a Texas citizens militia, should have already had one ready to spin up.
If it looks more and more likely Trump will win ,
A huge wave is coming this year to beat the clock
Time to mobilize the Texas State Guard. It’s not subject to federal interference and answers to the Governor.
Could be interesting if Abbott issued orders to TX Leo.
To arrest any CPB or others cutting the razor wire..
For destruction of TX State’s property /vandalism. Or, theft if they were to remove this property from that location.
You mean like this?
https://tmd.texas.gov/state-guard
“The Texas State Guard is the state defense force branch of the Texas Military Department. “
I hope you’re correct, but don’t get your hopes up to high. Expect the worst so you aren’t surprised when it happens.
The predominant legal theory regarding Texas’ special status is that the original agreements made upon entry to the US were rendered moot by the agreements made by all Confederate states after the Civil War.
That said we are basically in a post constitutional America where political might makes right so who knows how it plays out.
