The video from Milford Regional Medical Center’s website features Peter Smulowitz, the hospital’s chief medical officer, announcing that the hospital will be implementing a new code of conduct to guarantee an “inclusive” environment...“Words or actions that are disrespectful, racist, discriminatory, hostile or harassing are not welcome and will not be tolerated.”
including:
After garnering unwanted media attention following its Jan. 3 release, the video was subsequently unlisted from the hospital’s YouTube site but remained embedded and accessible via the website’s code of conduct page. It is now available for public view at Headline USA’s YouTube page.
As several conservatives pointed out, it was not clear how Milford Regional planned to determine what was and was not “offensive,” making it likely that the policy would be disproportionately biased against speech that did not fall in with the woke agenda.
More likely, the patient identifies as male but looks female, and is mistakenly addressed as "ma'am" thus the nurse is placed on probation or fired. And who has no case, since hiring require assent to 15. Woke policies.
Depending on who’s doing the calling I’d say we Bud Light them...
Right - that sounds legal
Hint: not you!
I have several family members that are medical
Staff. They are called all sorts of racist names by protected class members at least once every week for the past several years.
Nothing is ever done about it.
Must surrender your free speech rights in order to get your surgery appointment?!?!?!?!??
It’s called govt healthcare.
Yes, that’s right, I’m sad to say.
I doubt it.
I would rather die than cave to their evil insanity.
That actually could be an option offered.
Milford Regional is about to be merged with UMass Medical Center system. They have destroyed what once was a wonderful local nonprofit hospital. The employees are miserable, used to be that people worked there for their entire careers, but no longer. A very toxic environment.
Under Massachusetts and federal law you cannot withhold treatment, so this crap is just “virtue signaling”.
Troublemaking since the 1600s.
,,, next up they’ll install vending machines with Budd Lite in the waiting rooms.
Especially back in 1775, when they drove the Brits nuts, and look where that lead.
I've read accounts that the Puritans were ostracized and chased out of every nation they ever tried to settle in. They were constantly stirring up "holier than thou" trouble every where they went.
The reason they went to America was because they had been ran away from everywhere else.
And so it may very well be that they started the American Revolution simply because they were just being the same sort of @$$holes they have always been.
But this time it worked out for the best.
That's true of pretty much every American ancestor.
People who already had the good life didn't need to leave their homes in their Old Country.
Those who left and came here were nearly all in some form of trouble or another.
The question is whether they found what they were looking for here in America.
In general, the answer was "yes", but in Massachusetts especially, and other colonies to lesser degrees, they wanted to be treated like proper Englishmen in matters of self-government, while the British Parliament & king had a different idea.
The eventual result, by 1775, was war.
Btw, fwiw, I can find no evidence that Massachusetts leaders like John Adams, Samuel Adams, Paul Revere or John Hancock had any Puritan ancestors.
Indeed, I can't find the name of even one Massachusetts Puritan who was active in the US Revolutionary War.
Here's what Bing AI says about it:
It isn’t just woke.
God help you if you disagree with your provider about your course of treatment, refuse certain recommendations.
Wonder how many folks are finding our the hard way what it means to be labeled as a non-compliant patient.
