The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion.U.S.Const., Art. IV, Sec. 4.
Unconstitutional federal Court actions or decisions (here), acts and laws MUST be defied!!!
The easiest of the three to defy is Court decisions because the Court has no enforcement power.
I'll add, TEXAS and GOV. ABBOTT: STOP taking federal funding and become financially INDEPENDENT from the bankrupt feds. Your constitutionally sovereign state is meant to be INDEPENDENT!!!
That would be a great step...in conjunction with no longer sending Washington the states tax dollars.
In the legal context, one of the most POWERFUL words in our Constitution is the word "SHALL". It doesn't mean "should" or "might" or "could".. IT MEANS "MUST"!!!
Also of interest is that the word "DEMOCRACY" is NOT found in the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, or the Bill of Rights!
Biden’s next move will be telling. Does he escalate this into a horrible crisis or step back to avoid an historical confrontation with a state that merely wants to protect itself from being overwhelmed?
I think public opinion will be behind Abbot on this since they know how much chaos and damage open borders are causing in many of the states. But, Biden has shown that he has no regard for public opinion or the larger welfare of the nation.
So the question is will he dare to cross the Rubicon? Probably not, this being an election year and he’s already way down in the polls. So he’ll just wait it out in hopes of getting re-elected before lowering the boom on Texas.
wording of the Constitution seems pretty clear on that issue of invasion.
I suspect that the liberal view of this is going to be that an invasion is not what we’re seeing. They will Define invasion as meaning a military attack , not illegal aliens pouring across the border. We will see.....
