To All on the thread:
I very rarely reply to posts but I felt I had to put my two cents in here.
I’m previous military and personally know many folks (many family) who are currently TX National Guard and State Guard.
While Texas State Guard serves a purpose and there are many good people who give their time and serve Texas on the rolls, the TSG is NOT a tactically trained unit. They do not train with nor can they carry weapons in the course of their duties.
They are “mostly” older retirees looking to assist where they can.
In most instances they would be called in to back up the TX National Guard in functions such as distributing humanitarian rations, etc in state disaster scenarios. (Along with community organizations such as CERT which they frequently communicate with)
If things were to really go “South” into craziness, and god I hope it never happens.... It will be the “regular” Joes and Joans within Texas that the Governor would have to rely on to step up... and honestly with the culture today, Good Luck. Get Trained, Be proficient, Have a plan and talk with your neighbors. It could get frosty in the next few months to a year.... Prayers to all.
Who probably keep their weapons clean after hunting season ends.
Varmit popping keeps yer eyes sharp and yer finger itchy.
And so far half of the states are backing Texas so don’t mess with Texas.
It will never happen because, if nothing else, Democrat-Nazis are craven cowards! They slide on the blood of others.
