The blockaded the straight that runs along their own coastline - but only for Israeli and Israeli bound shipping in response to what THEY believe is an unjust war against the Pali’s- any other ship could and did pass unmolested.

“Houthi rebels” is a Western slur to dehumanize them. The Houthi’s call themselves Ansar Allah, and they control the vast majority of the Yemen territory. The remainder is under a Saudi placed “government” following their war against Yemen. Which is the legit gov? I’d say probably neither, and there isn’t much gov there at all.

The Saudis attacked them because the Houthis are Shiites allied to Iran. They were contained until the "Biden" regime decided to cut support for the war and withdrew US air defenses from Saudi. In return for which the Houthis attacked Riyadh and the oil fields with missiles.

If 500,000 died, obviously it wasn't enough.

Houthi Rebels is not an insult. It is a misname used to make us sympathetic towards them. We were the rebels in the Revolutionary War. Luke Skywalker was a rebel against The Empire. Rebels are the underdogs and we love underdogs.

Saudi Arabia was in a 20-year hot war with the Houthis (and a Cold War with Iran) until last year, when Saudi Arabia made a China-brokered peace with Iran.

The fact that the Houthis are now firing Iranian missiles at ships in Saudi’s strategic waters, and the Saudis are cool with it - tells you exactly what the USA and especially, Biden’s standing is in the region.
