Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) left critics cringing on Tuesday with a stunning display of sycophancy to former President Donald Trump.
The senator, who dropped out of the GOP presidential race in November, was one of two former candidates onstage with Trump in Nashua to celebrate his victory over Nikki Haley in the New Hampshire primary.
In 2012, when she was governor of South Carolina, Haley appointed Scott, then a member of the House of Representatives, to his Senate seat to replace retiring Sen. Jim DeMint.
“Did you ever think that she actually appointed you, Tim?” Trump said of Haley during his speech. “And you’re the senator of her state. And [you] endorsed me.”
“You must really hate her,” he added.
Scott, who had been standing behind Trump, approached the mic and said: “I just love you.”
“That’s why he’s a great politician!” Trump said.

Chance the Gardener, er, US Senator.
Scott was actually half disagreeing with Trump if you would take a moment and try to be objective.
Yep, agree a little too friendly. Look at who Scott hangs with, is he subject to blackmail or trying to move up the belt line ladder? Don’t trust him
I watched that, it was cute and funny. Liberals have no sense of humor, that’s why they miss these things and look like morons to the rest of the world.
I missed that! Beautiful answer!!!!
That and a nice endorsement in his upcoming Senate race.
LOL!!!!
I cringed a little when Donald Trump said “You must really hate her.” Trump spoke jokingly, but I don’t get it. Maybe Trump meant that only an extreme reason would lead Tim to reject someone who had appointed him to the Senate. Personal loyalty may count for less in politics than it does in business.
Everything else Trump said was just fine.
Scott’s response: “I just love you.” There is nothing cringe-worthy in that, unless you are a Democrat afraid that Tim can deliver the Black vote. Frankly, I think Tim’s response was about the best possible under the circumstances. It was Trump who put him in an awkward position.
Pee Wee Herman impersonation ...

IOW, this is just some NeverTrumper horse****.
NBC ….define “people”? Like the same folks who broke down crying when Hillary lost? Who cares what they think… lol

That’s great.
