this is incorrect, or perhaps correct only by accident. Their hypothesis is not a hypothesis in the sense they are on a scientific mission, it is propaganda where the evidence for or against does not matter and only the end goal (the ever benevolent 'dictatorship of the proletariat') is important regardless of the damage caused on the journey.
