Are they true Germans or mostly imported worker background folks? 2 WWs knocked the crap out of the real Germans. When I was last in Germany going around the bases circa 2015, I was surprised to encounter real Germans in the town where I did a tour in the early 80’s. It has changed over the years, it was looking like NYC with the messy streets and graffiti. Even Berlin disappointed me. It was overly international and a new 3rd world destination. Germany died in 1945. 2 WWs killed it. However it appears that he Red Front is still out there, doing what they did in the 20’s.

Aachen in Westfalia is in the far western side of Germany, about as far west as you can get in German. I suspect that the people from the former East Germany have a greater revulsion to communism than the Westerners.
