Your personal information may have been leaked in the 'Mother of all Breaches' (MOAB), cybersecurity researchers have warned.

Over 26 billion personal records have been exposed, in what researchers believe to be the biggest-ever data leak.

Sensitive information from several sites including Twitter, Dropbox, and Linkedin was discovered on an unsecured page.

Worryingly, the researchers who found it claim this breach is extremely dangerous and could prompt a tsunami of cybercrime.

IIRC, TenCent is TikTok.

10 Cent is a ChiCom video game company.

Correction, They have a holding in ByteDance, which owns TikTok. ByteDans is also CCP.

https://www.entrepreneur.com/science-technology/who-owns-tiktok-updated-2023/444823

Tencent Holdings, a Chinese multinational conglomerate, is an investor in ByteDance but does not have a majority stake in or control over TikTok.

As for entering an email address to check if my email has been compromised, how do you know which site is safe to use to check?

Did that in 2020 with scams of trying to defraud state unemployment.

My digital foot print is close to zero. Had an old friend track down the crew we used to be in as kids. I was the last one after months of searching.

Our A/C went out. While we gone for 3 weeks, our 15-year old LG refrigerator had to work harder in the hot home. A few days after we returned it went out.

With a little research I thought it might be the compressor fan. So I wheeled it out, undid 6 screws on back panel, and saw a burned out part. With a bit more research I found www.appliancepartspros.com. They told me I needed a compressor overload switch and a relay and had videos of how to do change them. That turned out to be easy. But some of wires were burned, so I to get new ends and a wire crimper (thanks Harbor Freight). Total repair cost was about $100. It's been working well ever since (6 months).

Or, in the alternate, it could permit conservatives, utilizing AI, to construct databases of neomarxists, and return the favor...
