Thanks for the info, I still think that is ridiculous. You should just be happy to get college credit for AP classes. I wonder when this started, I didn’t take AP classes but got dual credit from the community college during my senior year of high school, the grades did not weigh differently.
AP didn't exist when I was in high school. I began taking summer school classes after 8th grade and petitioned the school district to define class standing by class credits completed vs semesters attended. The district agreed and a significant number of my fellow students took advantage of the new definition to graduate a year early. I maintained the same Summer school pattern at UCSD and graduated at age 19 with a BA in Molecular Biology.
