TAIPEI, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Taiwan's export orders fell more than expected in their worst performance in six months in December, with the outlook for the island's high-tech products remaining poor due to growing doubts about global economic growth.

Export orders last month slipped 16.0% from a year ago to $43.81 billion, the worst showing since July and well below the average analyst forecasts of a 0.25% decline predicted in a Reuters poll. Orders edged up 1.0% year-on-year in November.

Weak demand for Taiwan's technology products amid global economic uncertainty has prompted the government to forecast that for 2023 the export-dependent economy will have grown at its slowest pace in 14 years.

Preliminary gross domestic product data is released at the end of this month.

Taiwan's orders in December for telecommunication products fell 25.3%, and electronic products shed 12.9% from the prior year, the ministry said.

Orders from China dropped 3.5% compared with an 8.8% rise in the prior month. Orders from the United States dropped 21.6% compared with a 2.4% dip in November.

Orders from Europe sank 39.4%, faring worse than November's 21.1% plunge.

From Japan, orders fell 30.5% last month, versus a contraction of 29.0% in November.

I expect Taiwan is also being strangled by its neighbor. This, in addition to the global downturn initiated by the same far-thinkers.

Yes, China is applying pressure while they have Biden Bought.

The Idea of Trump President certainly must worry them.

China currency is more fake than ours. Communists screw up everything, but they simply cannot produce what they promise.

So, they kill a bunch of people and make slaves out of the survivors.

Taiwan is a good ally. So is Japan, Poland, Israel and CZ. They are targeted by the Globalist pukes.

SA, Egypt and UAE are more moderate and we have pretty good relationship. I have good friends in Cairo, they have told me that if the USA goes down, the world will too. They get it.

I’ve seen some troubling events in past year. Some good people on the web, disappearing.

One close friend in Syria, died in drone attack. It took me 3 years to find out what happened.

Another in Honduras vanished and someone took over her Twitter account. From responses on that account, it is clearly not her. She was professor at a college and wrote for La Prenca. We’ve shared news info for many years. Back to before time when Honduran President Mel Zelaya was removed.

It is getting harder and harder to reduce your profile on the web and in the world.

I don’t try to hide, but probably should. Figure it is better to be known than to just vanish and nobody notice it.
