Grand Funk have been reviled by the critics since day 1. Wrongly I think, they’re a good fun band. But the music press has always hated them, they’ll never get in.
Three Dog Night as fun as they are most of their hits are covers, and they kind of disappeared from the consciousness in the 80s. Of course they probably should have gone in back then. Wenner probably didn’t like them.
