Don’t let all this DeSantis news distract you from the fact that Ronna McRomney is *still* the RNC chair

At some point, if the swamp is to be drained then so must the RNC, and a new way of choosing candidates needs to be figured out. I don’t know what that change will be. I made the suggestion the other day that Republicans should consider switching from primaries to caucuses. That may be part of the solution, but more will be needed. Something has to change so that citizen politicians can have a snow ball’s chance in hell of beating establishment backed candidates for the nomination. If we get four years of Trump and he’s successful, but we end up going back to having to choose from the likes of Haley, DeSantis, Younkin, etc., then it will have little lasting effect.
All true!
What do you think about having the RNC Chair chosen by Republican voters rather than party insiders? Two-year terms, terms beginning in odd numbered years, max number of terms allowed, either 2 or 3?
IMO, the RNC chair position has been nothing but a lickspittle accommodation to Democrat Leftism. It cares more about the optics of race and gender of its chairs (and their ‘RINOs are content in their second-tier power) than addressing American conservatives’ concerns. Steele and this RonaMcBush woman are prime examples.
And don’t think for one minute that they will try to convince trump to take on another mike pence VP spot for disantis. They need a rino traitor “in” in the next administration
The RNC/DNC are corporations. I doubt Ford Motor Co. will ever allow it's customer base to select its next CEO. That is a BOD responsibility. The boards of the RNC/DNC select the person to be seated as the Chair. Several parties may seek that position, some may even get a pat on the head by a President, but the Board votes. No one else does, not even a President. All of the comments above about Rona being Trumps pick, Trumps girl, are all patented BS. The comments are from a gang of soreLosermans. If the RNC didn't want her, the RNC wouldn't have her, period.
McDaniel is the 5th column in the Republican Party. Not to be trusted.

It’s an unconventional idea, I admit, but not impossible, although the board ultimately would have to agree to it, and it’s unlikely they would do so. The RNC may not legally be required to put the interests of its customers (i.e. registered Republicans) first, but it would probably be in the best interests of society if they did and there’s an implied assumption among voters, that they do, when in fact, they don’t, and are not legally obliged to do so.
Political parties should serve the interests of the voters, not the other way around, if they’re going to be the vehicle through which citizens pursue representative government. If the existing parties don’t serve that need, then the people have every right to petition them to change or create a new party that more effectively empowers them.
At least half the people Trump was talked into hiring by helpful folks, including his VP, AG and FBI head were working against him. Despite that, he still accomplished more important campaign promises than any President. Ever.
We need Scott Presler heading up the RNC.
“Trump put her there.”
Which confirms what a rat bastard she is. Another one who doesn’t understand that “ya gotta dance with the one what brung you”.
She has been living large on Republican Party money while doing a shit job.
Until they remove the McRomney bot I am not giving one dime to the RNC.
Don’t let some blogger obfuscate the fact that the RNC Chair’s job is to raise money. Period. If she does that to the party’s satisfaction, she’s golden. If not she’s gone. Nothing else matters.
