Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has suspended his 2024 presidential campaign and endorsed former President Donald Trump.
DeSantis announced in a video posted to social media ahead of Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary.
The governor quoted Winston Churchill, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that count.”

Bloomberg had reported just minutes before that he would drop out and endorse Trump in the coming days.
The report cited “people briefed on the campaign’s conversations.”

“Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his top aides are having internal discussions about when and how he should drop out of the 2024 presidential race, according to people briefed on the campaign’s conversations.”
The report continued, “New polling from CNN and the University of New Hampshire shows DeSantis earning just 6% of the state’s Republican vote, whereas Trump has 50% and Haley has 39%.”
Many on social media noticed that DeSantis had cleared his campaign calendar over the weekend.
DeSantis came in second in Iowa, after Trump, and before Haley — but the former South Carolina governor is expected to perform better in New Hampshire, which is more liberal.
A poll conducted ahead of the Iowa caucuses by NBC News, the Des Moines Register, and Iowa pollster Selzer & Co. found that Haley supporters in Iowa are twice as likely to vote for Joe Biden as they are Donald Trump, should she not win the Republican nomination.
The pollsters asked likely Iowa caucus-goers, “If Donald Trump is the Republican nominee in the general election in November, would you vote for him, vote for Joe Biden, vote for independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., or vote for some other third-party candidate?”
more.
“Good for DeSantis. I’ve always been a Trump guy- 100%- but the DeSantis hate on this site made me sick. Good to see he did the right thing.”
Not to mention... the hate for anyone that even dared to defend DeSantis from the unfair and leftist-like bashing and demonization that has gone on... (and still is going on) here.
If Trump screwed up so bad, then how do you explain his 2020 re-election victory?
I am from the great Northwest.
The last time we were in Wyoming my wife and I had purchased a 1941 Cadillac on eBay and drove it back from Indiana. We stopped at a NAPA in a small town in Wyoming. The lady who ran it wanted us to meet a guy down the street who did amazing restorations. So she left her kids in charge of the store... the oldest looked to be about 12.
We went and met this old man and his son-in-law and they were both incredible. We spent at least an hour visiting. People are very friendly in Wyoming. When you get to the coast it is a different story.
So far, I am lucky that the back of my head still has hair because at some point people are going to be pointing at it and wondering what the heck happened. I have a very big head and it made me top heavy.
I am sure that you are a more pleasant person than I am... so sorry about that. Please have a good day!
The MAGAholes spent the last several months telling us “DeSimps” they don’t need our votes. I don’t want to make a liar out of them.
I voted for Trump twice, and may a third time, oh person of less than room temperature IQ.
I am not actually familiar with that Nickname. Is it something you made up yourself?
You do realize of course that MAGA stands for Make America Great Again? Do you have a problem with that as well. Do you believe that the Globo Homo movement is the better solution? Are you a Never-Trumper? If so... Why?
Passive/Aggressive nature about you. You will fit nicely in Kennedy’s campaign.
Get a beer and some butthurt cream and take some time off.
See you in the general!
His endorsement was weak and lacking, same as his campaign, same as his decision to run, same as his loyalty to the country, same as his character.
Um, not really. You might want do a little research and check out some of the worst DeSantis haters. The ones who posted thread after thread mocking Ron "Meatball" DeSantis, Ron's boots, Ron's lovely wife and family, etc. etc. As soon as these anti-DeSantis threads were posted, the usual haters showed up and happily chimed in within minutes with their Desantis insults and hateful memes.
They've been here for decades. Glad they're pro-Trump conservatives, but they didn't have to be so damn nasty about their hatred toward FReepers who simply said nice things about Ron DeSantis, or those who supported him in the GOP primary.
Anyway... I wish Ron well and hope to see him run a better presidential campaign in the future.
TRUMP 2024
Nope. See #91.
Nope. See #91.
This won’t help her one bit.
Almost all of DeSantis’ supporters are good Republicans who will now get behind President Trump, whether reluctantly or enthusiastically. DeSantis supporters may be confused but they are real Republicans that want a Republican to win.
Half of Haley’s support are Democrats or RINOs who would rather see a Democrat win than Trump. They were never going to vote for Haley if she somehow won the nomination.
The other half of her support are actual Republicans who will see DeSantis quitting and realize Trump has this sowed up - they will get behind Trump just like DeSantis supporters.
You watch, Haley’s numbers will actually callas a result of DeSantis dropping out.
Trump lost in 2020 due to mail-in-ballot fraud he himself enabled in the CARES Act which was passed by Congress on March 25, 2020 and signed into law on March 27, 2020.
Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie tried to warn Trump, and insisted on a roll call vote, and Trump responded by threatening him with a primary opponent.
The slurs against President Trump covered the gambit .. why when the photo was posted recently without Meliana some Duh-Saintis groupies claimed all manner of uglies why she was absent ...
So please playing a Duh-Saintis victim will not float or fly.
I will vote for RFK jr under two circumstances:
1) Trump is not on the ballot
2) Trump’s VP is Nikki Haley
