WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden’s top aides bluntly told lawmakers in a private meeting on Wednesday that if Congress fails to authorize additional military aid for Ukraine in the coming days, Russia could win the war in a matter of weeks — months at best, according to two people familiar with the meeting.
National security adviser Jake Sullivan and the Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines told the lawmakers that Ukraine will run out of certain air defense and artillery capabilities in the coming weeks, according to the people familiar with the meeting.
The grim assessment, which one White House official described as “incredibly stark,” was delivered as the future of Ukraine aid has never been more uncertain. It also comes as White House officials are increasingly alarmed at the prospect of Biden failing to follow through with his promise that the U.S. will be there for Kyiv “as long as it takes.”
In Wednesday’s meeting at the White House, Sullivan and Haines gave the top congressional leaders a classified time frame for when Ukraine’s key military resources will be significantly depleted, and a detailed assessment of the current dynamics on the battlefield, the two people familiar with the meeting said.

If you read the article and follow the links to the sources they are using to imply that Trump contributed to Putin feeling he could get away with attacking then you will see they are from a different time period, before Trump’s presidency.
The article is from 2022, but not the evidence they are presenting.
Post 86 and 83 cover his presidency.
Yes, they reference earlier dates but they STILL felt them relevant to the TIME at which they reporting - trying to discredit his Presidency in preparation for 2024.
It’s just illustrative of the complete duplicity of MSM when it comes to Trump. Context and timeline are very important, but not when it comes to the MSM. It’s very tiring and boring to parse and dissect their version of the truth, and IMO most all of current reporting by them is 2024 election preparation reporting now.
Early in the thread you were thinking that Trump being tough on Russia and threatening to nuke Moscow were the lie, now you think that Trump being soft on Russia before he was president was a lie.
What do you want the truth to be?
I just can’t understand why Z hates this guy...

Perhaps he doesn’t pay any attention to the BS coming from ansel12 and the Ukrainian agent, USA-France.
I wasn’t thinking anything about Trumps thoughts on pro/anti anything. I was asking a question about the disconnect of now saying he’s anti-RUS when back in 2022 when CNN (and other MSM) was trying to keep the idea he was pro-RUS alive back then.
What do YOU want the truth to be now that you’ve got a real war in UKR?
No! WE must double down and send it all of NATO forces, start sending US Troops to europe—every American soldier, sailor, airman must be sent in to help victim Ukraine. Congress should declare war on Russia and Iran Today! All Carriers to the North Sea and Indian Ocean to launch strikes on Russia and Iran. We can hit St. Petersburg and sink the whole Baltic Fleet in a few hours, Carpet bomb Crimea! and we can win this war in a few weeks. The D-Day at Iran will be easy. But, the whole war may well cost 100,000 American/Canadian lives. But, if it assures Biden’s Victory, it is worth it.
Rather than troll and ping list and lie, just post to me, show me something you think I got wrong.
I don’t have a war anywhere, as far as Russia launching European wars, you have watched him as president, did he prepare for war against Russia or not?
I’m not sure that I fully support your plan.
Yes. I wonder how many Republicans are dirty?
Just stop with the stupid hounding. You’re not making sense anymore always trying to ‘one-up’ me. Good bye.
Obviously nothing of the sort, I was merely trying to answer you and respond to you, trying to communicate with you.
