I don’t have inside information, but I have seent this tactic of goading and insulting until the recipient of such vile treatment lashes out with an over-the-line comment. Mods don’t monitor every single thread, so it is likely that it is the instigator who reported the abuse. Funny that it happens a lot when Jon is in the mix.
