I can’t stand him. But he should not be charged at all. It’s close to harassment. He is an actor using a prop. The armorer should be accountable. Yes he did a skit about trump. It was dumb. But this is no reason for vicious charge again.
At the time of the shooting word was that he was pissed at the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins for her requesting a second take on the scene he had just completed. In anger he pointed the gun at her yelling "take this" or something similar, not expecting it to be loaded. The shot killed her and injured the director who was standing behind her. This version may be the "new evidence" that resulted in the indictment.

You don’t know what the grand jury was shown as far as evidence. You’ve already made up your mind without all the info. He’ll get his day in court. As far as I have heard AB cut a lot of safety requirements and he himself was the production manager responsible for all the safety on that shoot. He was the armorer’s boss and so he was responsible (in charge) for her safety too.
Anyway, now looks like he’ll get to tell his side in a trial and then we can all decide when we know all the legally admissible evidence. The way it should be in a case like this. Then everyone can put an end to it when it’s all done.
“My understanding is, even in the movies they do not aim at people directly and fire, “
Yup. For all of my life, watching movies, I could see that the guns weren’t quite pointed right. Sometimes it really jumped out at you. Not long before this tragic shooting I saw Edward G Robinson blast the crap out of empty space to the right of his intended target. The gun threw a lot of smoke and flame and I guess ol’ Eddy was t taking any chances.
You may be thinking about his civil trial for damages.

I agree, this is bullshit.
My dad took me to the hospital and into the emergency room one night to watch him stitch up a guy whose scalp had been ripped half off in a drunk driving accident.
I don’t recall how old I was, but I was pretty young.
It does have an educative effect. From that point on, I had a pretty solid practical understanding when watching cowboy and Indian shows of how scalping worked. These are invaluable life lessons.
Jeopardy attaches when the trial begins. Actually when the jury is sworn in.
Yeah, trauma is a great teacher... I’m glad I had my Dad instead... Jus’ sayin’.
He never was found innocent or guilty,
They dropped any charges.
Further investigation found better evidence.
I do NOT check firearms said Baldwin I am
I never check things that go bam-bam!
I pay the little people to do this for me
Mundane things like gun safety bore me
Things went wrong for me one bad day
it went wrong for me in a scene I play
I aimed, pointed and pulled back the hammer
what happened next may send me to the slammer
it’s true we liberals always hate the NRA
Now I think I should’ve listened to what they say
About aiming guns and pointing when in a play
It may’ve turned out different in that bad day
I do NOT check firearms said Baldwin I am
I never check things that go bam-bam!
But I need to check my ego and my way
And take a gun safety lesson in the NRA
What I have found disturbing was the replies and comments I saw on another board.
Many of the posters believes Hollywood gets an exception to the rules for safe firearm handling. One stated that the 4 universal rules do not apply on movie sets.
Bizarre world we are in.
