We are all, every one of us, descended from people we would cross the street to avoid, from slaves and slave holders, from criminals and saints. One might better pay concern for ones descendants rather than ones ancestors. Only one of those can you do anything about.
Exactly. Just take it far enough back in time. How many of us are the descendants of rapists, enslavers and murderers? The answer of course is ALL of us.
