Could you share a little of that nice weather with us over here, pleasepleaseprettyplease? LOL Gizmo did seem to enjoy spending some time in the sunshine. I hope you’re able to head out to Wichita Ridge later today for some real fun.

No, there won’t be cotton across the road as long as that guy owns the land. He told me he absolutely hates the stuff.
This year will be soybeans since he had corn last year. Dusty will have corn over here ..... I hope. I think he’s had his fill of cotton.
What a relief that is, not to have to put up with cotton allergies any more. Corn harvest allergies are bad enough, but cotton? No WAY. We lived across the street from a huge cotton field when I was a kid, and I’ll bet that’s why I had such awful allergies. That and when the gins got cranked up. Ugh!
There will still be SOME cotton allergens in the air because there are a few farmers here who grow it. But it won’t be right out the front door any more. The edge of the front field is only about 50 feet from the house.
Corn and soybeans a re tolerable because they pollinate for a short time, then stop. Cotton pollinates from the time it begins blooming until they kill it with Round-Up in the fall so they can harvest it.
Thankfully, the cotton gin is miles away.

Yeah, having it practically on the front porch is a real bummer. I’m glad your farmers “saw the light”! LOL!

I like having it right out the windows as far as visuals go during summer. I love seeing the crops grow.
As long as it isn’t cotton. LOL
I really enjoy the corn years because I’m hidden from the road.

It was -3 when I went to bed this morning and it’s a “toasty” 20 now. Tonight is SUPPOSED to stay above zero but we’ll see how that goes.
