A strongly worded letter from the Department of Homeland Security to the State of Texas demands access to the U.S.-Mexico border on land seized by the State in Eagle Pass. DHS officials ordered the State to cease and desist its efforts to block Border Patrol’s access in and around Shelby Park “and remove all barriers to access” by the end of the day on January 17.

1. Half the state of Texas should show to support the Texas Guard, and all the other folks working there
2. Every federal agent and CBP officer should be identified.
3. Once identified, take a carload of illegals to each of their homes and let them know they have a warm free place to stay. Just walk inside.
Stand strong Texas.
Call Branden’s bluff
Yes, and DHS General Counsel Jonathan E. Meyer has already identified himself, so a few carloads at his door would work just fine.
Can TX Sheriffs deputize the menfolk in their counties? If so, now would be a good time.
The feds will treat Texans worse than iranians.
Dear Joe,
No.
Your move.
Regards,
Texas
agree entirely. let them use force against fellow Americans in order to facilitate illegal entry.
Or else what? He’s gonna send in the armor like Slick did at Waco?
SCARY! “A strongly worded letter”!
Or else what? He’s going to bomb the National Guard? He’s going to send tanks from the army base? This guy is a menace
Menace…..what a great way to describe him.
I hope Texans show up in an armed tsunami, bigger than when they showed up to help Bundy.
Oxymoron.
“Under federal law 18 U.S. Code § 111, it is a federal crime to “impede” or “interfere” with certain officers or employees of the federal government.”
Are they on Federal land? The Federal government has limited authority on state or local property. Unlike the movies, the Federal Government can’t walk in and demand authority be relinquished. The CBP has full authority to deal with any illegal alien who exits that park.
And just as the Feds have the authority to arrest a person who interferes, so do the Texas authorities, assuming the national guard there have law enforcement authority. Abbott should threaten to arrest Federal agents who interfere with his officer’s authority.
Followed by “and the horse you rode in on”…
Didn’t think about that.
But then you’ll have, potentially, Armor vs Armor. And the Texas Guard actually lives in the state.
Or he could activate the Guard under federal orders and have them all evacuate. But then he could risk mass desertion among the ranks with only the most diehard suck-asses staying in uniform.
They can deputize everyone they want.
Just ask this guy:
Culpeper Sheriff says he’ll deputize residents if gun laws pass in newly blue Virginia

Gotta love guys like this. Wish every Sheriff was like this.
Abbott should have started arresting Feds months ago when they started damaging State property.
L
FUJB!
Does Biden want this fight during an election year?
