Donald Trump urged the Republican party to unite behind him so he could 'take the country' back from Joe Biden after decimating his rivals in the Iowa caucuses on Monday night.
The former president, 77, praised all of his fellow candidates and paid tribute to his family - including Melania's late mother-in-law - as he spoke to supporters after his 30-point win in the first primary contest.
It took just half an hour for Trump's landslide victory to be called as thousands of his die-hard supporters turned up to vote in sub-zero temperatures and wind chills as low as minus 30 degrees.
But Trump quickly looked forward and said the 'big night is going to be in November when we take back our country' in the general election.
Instead of mocking the rest of the Republican field he applauded them for their campaigning and called them 'very smart people, very capable people'.

‘They’re coming from mental institutions and insane asylums,’ he said. ‘And their terrorists.’
He called for ‘unbelievable harsh penalties’ for people who carry out mass shootings.
‘I‘m going to come down very hard on criminals,’ he said. He promised 'deportation that we haven’t seen in this country for a long time.'
It was shortly after 11 pm that Trump turned to the criminal and civil trials he is facing, which allies credit with propelling him to victory.
‘I go through a lot of courthouses because –they call that election interference,’ he said.
‘We can’t have that.’
‘The big night is going to be in November when we take back our country,’ he vowed, wrapping up a 22-minute speech.

I'll bet that while he was soiling himself after hearing of Trump's runaway victory all three of his working brain cells spewed out something nonsensical along the lines of Lucky's Speech from "Waiting For Godot."

He hasn’t heard it yet, he was in bed at the time of the speech. But upon hearing it today, he will no doubt crap in his pants.

Yep, in life, we sometimes walk away from a game we have lost. But we DO need to come back the next day and be friends. Some folks need to get over their toxic anti Trump ideas, they have for the most part been ill informed. WE NEED a drastic change, and a big FLUSH in the sewer system in Washington D.C. Get rid of all INSIDERS and put in some OUTSIDERS.

Donald Trump. If we are going to save America , we must do it together.
Remember, this was with democrat voters switching over to vote trump out by voting for other candidates!
His victory is much larger but was masked by people who hate America.
Trump deeds to advise patriotic Americans to get out of the big cities. Pain, punishment and retribution is coming. They know it, we know it.
