"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked Switzerland to organise a 'high-level peace conference' amid the ongoing war with Russia.
Swiss President, Viola Amherd, revealed during a joint press conference in Bern: 'I confirmed that Switzerland is ready to organize the conference. We agreed that the details of the further approach will be looked into in depth in order to make this peace process a success.'
The Swiss president underlined that the country will 'fight for long-lasting and just peace in Ukraine', with planning for the event to begin on Tuesday.
Zelensky added: 'We are open to all countries that respect our sovereignty and territorial integrity at the peace summit.'
It is understood that Russia will not be invited to the conference."

China knows they’re next if Russia goes down.
Not that I have experience in this...but I think Ukraine wants some kind of assurance of cash flow/ammo/weapons for the bulk of 2024. It’s really not a peace meeting...so to speak.
The clock is ticking with President Biden probably not there in January of 2025. With Trump or Ms Obama or Gov Newsom....the cards on the table may not be that pleasing.

Without Russian representation at any such meeting it would be nothing more than a publicity stunt. Even proposing it is a farce, and at best an attempt to apply international pressure on an already pressured and paranoid regime and its people. The one person I can see pulling off a real meeting to bring an end to this stupid war, both sides able to leave with some face intact, is Trump.
Typical hohos will be better off under Russian rule. For starters, they can drop the dead language....
