A Mexican Mafia gang member has been arrested for entering the country illegally, according to the U.S. Border Patrol.
Hebbronville Station agents assisted Webb County Constables and arrested a man identified as Reynaldo Reyes Alejandro, a Mexican citizen.
A records check revealed Reyes Alejandro was an active Mexican Mafia gang member, according to authorities.
His criminal history includes manufacturing and distribution of a controlled substance and illegal re-entry into the United States.
Reyes Alejandro will be processed for felony illegal re-entry. To report suspicious activity, call 1-800-343-1994.

There is the argument that is exactly what is intended by the current "open borders" policy. I.e., create chaos in order to justify increasing governmental controls.
One can certainly wonder what other benefit can possibly be derived by essentially uncontrolled open borders.
