Ukraine's Zelenskyy Rejects Cease-Fire: It 'Might Crush Us'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday ruled out a cease-fire in his country's war with Russia, saying the Kremlin's forces would use the pause to rearm and regroup before overwhelming Kyiv's troops.

"A pause on the Ukrainian battlefield will not mean a pause in the war," Zelenskyy said during a visit to Estonia.

"A pause would play into (Russia's) hands," he said. "It might crush us afterward."

Limited cease-fires have occasionally been proposed since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022 but have never taken hold.

other than weapons sold by the USSR and by Russia to various countries, North Korean artillery shells, Iranian drones, Chinese rifles etc. not much.
Other than rail lines around Kiviv and Lviv and elsewhere, they are steering clear of rail roads.

I doubt the Russians want one anymore. They tried in the very beginning, but the Ukes SBU executed one of their negotiators, and the Brits swooped in and killed it.

Now DC and London want a ceasefire badly. But now that Russia is crystal clear that the DC axis does not do so in good faith, they probably don’t want it.

That is because the minute they agree to one, we will do like after Minsk and flood rump Ukraine with weapons, jets, missiles, NATO advisors and trainers, and start building the nazi army up for another go at it in a few years.
Additionally, the Ukes will not accept the new line as permanent, and they probably will not stop the terror attacks and assassinations.
And the west will not end the sanctions, release the stolen bullion and currency, and repair and open Nordstream. So there is very little for you in a cease-fire if you are a Russian leader.
