The Left is creating historic, anti-democratic precedents that will someday boomerang should Republicans win the November election and follow the new Democrat model of extra-legal politics.
When faced with the possible return of President Donald Trump, the current agenda of the Democratic Party is summed up simply as “We had to destroy democracy to save it.”
The effort shares a common theme: any means necessary are justified to prevent the people from choosing their own president, given the fear that a majority might vote to elect Donald Trump.
Sometimes the anti-democratic paranoia has been outsourced to state and local officials and prosecutors to erase Trump from the primary and likely general election ballots as well.
One unelected official in Maine, Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, is a Democrat, an official never elected by the people, and a non-lawyer rendering a legal edict. Yet she has judged Trump guilty of “insurrection.”
And presto, she erased his name from the state’s ballot.
Yet Trump was never charged, much less convicted, of “insurrection.”
The statute Bellows cites is a post-Civil War clause of the 14th Amendment. It was passed over a century and a half ago. It was never intended to be used in an election year by an opposition party to disbar a rival presidential candidate.
In the earlier case of Colorado, the all-Democrat Supreme Court, in a 4-3 vote, took Trump off the ballot.
In sum, just five officials in two states have taken away the rights of some 7 million Americans to vote for the president of their choice.
Note that Trump continues to lead incumbent Joe Biden in the polls.
Sometimes, indictments are preferred to prevent Americans from voting for or against Trump.
Currently, four leftist prosecutors—three state and one federal—have indicted Trump.

These leftists are “bad actors” in several ways. First, they have ill intent and don’t care about telling lies to get their way. Second, they are such terrible actors that they would never make it in hollywood. It is obvious that they are making things up as they go.

Don’t worry, that would require a spine and testicles, and Republicans can’t find either of those between them.
Currently, four leftist prosecutors—three state and one federal—have indicted Trump.
They are petitioning courts to accelerate the usually lethargic legal process to ensure Trump is tied up in Atlanta, Miami, New York, and Washington, D.C., courtrooms nonstop during the 2024 election cycle.
Their aim is to keep Trump from campaigning, as he faces four left-wing prosecutors, four liberal judges, and four or five overwhelmingly Democratic jury pools.

I get so damned tired of that phrase ‘Saving our democracy’ when I know damn well that is the last thing they are doing..........
The psychology of this Left lunacy is so base and sophomoric. They have relentlessly and unapologetically demonized and used legal warfare against Trump for almost ten years now. Now, with feigned indignation, they claim Trump has to be stopped at all costs from becoming president because he is a ‘danger to democracy’ should he be re-elected president. They see nothing inhumane in any of this to keep poking the bull with spears and then hysterically wonder why the bull has a right to lash out at them when he regains power.
They are all playing a game. Everyone knows that even if Trump wins, the RINOs and dems will keep him from killing off the leftist swing of this country. Witness what happened when Paul RINO was speaker. I support DJT and will till the end of time but the reality is he will be a speed bump as we race to the bottom. I firmly believe that. Anyone want to argue after seeing what happens when scumbags like Hunter appear at a committee hearing and figuratively moon them and then walk out. Even the worse Mafia scum bags of the past would never have gotten away with that one. I can in my mind hear Estes Kefauver saying, whoa now, shoot the son of a bitch.

In a nutshell, when the party in power seeks to remain in power by persecuting, prosecuting and eventually removing the political opposition from the ballot, This is what democrats call “saving democracy.”
Exactly what Hitler said he was doing after the Reichstag fire: saving democracy from the communists by making himself essentially a dictator.
Biden is a prime example why animals eat their young they know it’s bad from birth.

Well said. With the extent of decay already having taken place, it is unrealistic to think that Trump or any other humanely compassionate leader could right this ship in four years. Indeed, there are so many demonic forces all working against civilization, that it is hard to see how most of humanity can survive the onslaught. The Devil’s minions are out there in force and they are in our faces proclaiming that most of the world’s population must die to save the planet. That can only add up to more attacks coming our way.
