RIP
You'd think a ski resort would be pretty easy to find...
...those lives lost due to an avalanhe, would wish for my life lost due to my political beliefs's.Yea because only conservative hating liberals ski.
What makes you so sure about that?
Now what kind of bs is this? They couldn’t just come out and say Palisades? I used to ski Royal Gorge back in the day.
The resort was formerly known as Squaw Valley but they renamed it after an apartment complex in Van Nuys so as not to offend anyone.
FIFY
I stayed at Squaw Valley in 1990 and 1991, but it was in the summer.
If they shut down Squaw Valley on both sides of the hill then they also would have shut down Alpine Meadows.

😱 😵
The news report I saw classified the event as a landslide versus an avalanche.

Just as I was telling the just wife. I had never heard of the resort. Therefore I figured it had been renamed. No way Kalifornia would have approved of a new resorts anytime in the last 40 years. I skied Squaw (Winter Olympics 1960) Kirkwood and both sides of Heavenly in the 80’s
For those who are not familiar with all the “RENAMING” all around the country:
THIS IS REALLY SQUAW VALLEY
