Let me tell you Matthews, everyone I know who is making a living in this field of endeavor, pun intended, is college educated with a degree in Agronomy or Agricultural Sciences and are the most savvy business people I know. You have to be to survive and make a living. Cost-of-gain, input costs, yield projections, crop prices. What is my profit differential growing wheat vs. soybeans? I’m an urbanite but come from a family of farmers. One of my good friends is a rancher in Texas.
What the liberal city scum and urbanites who look down on hard working “rural cult” people don’t understand is without farmers and ranchers they’d be out of food in about a week. At most.
