The “moon landing never happened” crowd—raises hand—are not claiming that unmanned landings never happened.
The claim is that the Apollo manned landings in the late 1960s and early 1970s never happened.
Big difference.

On what basis?
Because, of course, that version of the conspiracy theory is “less stupid”.
Even the Soviets didn’t dispute that astronauts landed on the Moon.
But who knows, maybe Russian space scientists are part of the Fake Moon Landing plot.
