Easy answer. Total war. We did that with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan in WWII.
Israel isn't fighting a total war in Gaza. They're doing a lot of damage. Many of Hamas terrorists will get killed. But Netanyahu will lose power in 6 months. Hamas will rebuild (with help from the International Community and Iran) and attack Israel again.
First biggest thing Israel needs to do is to stop depending on USA for small weapons
Manufacturing its own weapons will dictate their own foreign policy just like France did in the 60’s
USA has its own foreign policy, Israel should have its own with its own weapons and sell these weapons for cash if need be
That’s the first step
Once you become self sufficient you can fight a fight

Typical hit piece from CNN. They are depressed that the IDF has learned how to greatly lower the casualties it suffers. CNN would have Israel’s soldiers charge into the hundreds of tunnels under Gaza and be slaughtered by booby traps and waiting terrorists. Israel thought the tunnel system in Gaza numbered around a hundred, but has found many hundreds of tunnels; many sophisticated underground command centers. The Israelis use explosives, drones, and dogs to get an idea of what lies in wait for them. Eradicating hundreds of tunnels which contain probably three or four thousand of the last Hamas fighters will be done methodically and lethally, with the least number of Israeli casualties.

Israel is doing a slow methodical destruction of Hamas and it’s ability to wage future war. The Palestian Authority has already signed agreements with Israel to govern Gaza once the IDF has cleared out most of Hamas. Then the PA and IDF will conduct up to a year of joint operations finishing the job.
It’s a done deal, the PA just want to wait it out until they have to engage openly in combat with Hamas along side Israel.
