Who protects us from “public servants”, like Fauci for example?

How about we just reduce the number of federal employees by 2/3s?

Full disclosure, I’ve spent more years of my working life working in government versus the private sector.

On balance, I encountered more nasty, power-hungry people in the private sector and also more stupidity by a slight margin.
i
That being said, it is public servants such as Fauci, Collins, Burk, and others who killed millions with the vaxseems and Covid protocols.

Until dozens of other so-called “public servants” at the FDA, NIH, CDC, in state and county departments of health, etc. come forward as whistleblowers, government workers as a class of people deserve a reputation for being corrupt, incompetent, and a host of other terms I leave to other posters on this thread to suggest.

Please stop calling people who are employed by the government “public servants.”

Here’s a partial list what attracts many people to those jobs.

Generous vacations, sick leave, virtual job security (do they ever fire people?) Layoff people because of recession?

I went to NYC high schools with guys who planned to work 20-25 years with the NYPD and retire in their forties with a generous pension.

That is about the only case when the government did something useful. Very long time ago!

I have many things I would like to say.

Out of respect for the family friendly nature of this forum and to honor the service of the mods I will not post them.

My God, this article is astonishing and appalling.
By stripping these workers of basic employment protections, Schedule F would undermine the federal merit-based hiring system. Since it was established 180 years ago, this system has helped to guarantee that professionalism, expertise and fidelity to the rule of law guide our civil service, rather than self-interest or partisan loyalty.

In the hands of an authoritarian president, Schedule F could be wielded to wipe out vast swaths of dedicated public servants and replace them with legions of unqualified hacks and sycophants.

This author actually thinks federal "workers" are worth something and that a federal job is not just a lifetime sinecure. We've got THREE TIMES the number of federal "workers" we need. Maybe FIVE times. The more of them on the payroll, but more they meddle in our lives, create regulations that strangle us, give away our money for utterly useless things and gin up bogus charges to put us in prison.

The proof that we have WAY too much government is the uncontrolled growth of the federal debt. That wouldn't happen if the number of federal "workers" was 20% of what it is today.

So many lies and also gag worthy. they want to portray Jan. 6th worse than 911. Too bad us citizens can’t sue these lying leftwing medias. they have become an enemy to us everyday citizens. I hope more citizens have woken up to this.
