There is an interesting split between Democrats who are at the top of the hierarchy , and those on the lower rungs who want to move up, and need activist support.
The people at the top realize that the ballot exclusions of Trump put the legitimacy of the wholes system at risk.
Those trying to move up need activity support and move Left to get it.
There’s also tension between old-fashioned liberals and the so-called “progressives”. The “progressives” are radicals who are trying to dismantle all elements of Western civilization, while the old liberals always felt that they were being true to Western civilization. The two camps really don’t see eye to eye at all.
Now the liberal philosophy has a problem: old-fashioned liberalism wasn’t really true to Western civilization, in that it had within it the seed that was destined to sprout into radical wokeism. But the liberals don’t recognize this and still object to the explicitly radical transformation of their party.
