The Republican-controlled New Hampshire state House voted Thursday to approve a bill barring physicians from performing gender-affirming genital surgeries on transgender minors, sending the controversial measure to the Senate, where it is also expected to pass.
House Bill 619 had initially sought to ban all gender-affirming medical care, including puberty blockers and hormones, for transgender minors but was later amended to prohibit only genital surgeries, which are already exceedingly rare for minors.

Or transgenders in general, just mentally challenged males and females pretending to be the opposite sex.
Wow, 12 Democrats voted to protect children. Amazing. I cynically suspect they looked at survey results and calculated how many votes they’d lose if they voted the other way. Are there any Democrats who vote based on their deeply held beliefs? I suppose it’s possible, but I believe it’s unlikely. And two Republicans voted against!?
Is not not gender affirming, either.
Just those words make my skin crawl.
Somebody should look up how many of those 12 are up for re-election in November. Of course, even if those 12 are not up for re-election, the state Dem committee doesn’t want a pro-mutilation vote by any Dem hurting them in Nov.
But will Sunnu veto it?
They use that word for a cover up word of butchering for the thrill of it.
Some have the thrill to kill others like to use a scalpel to prolong it.
Their ‘gender’ (sex) was affirmed by God; mutilation of their genitals will not alter that fact.
It’ll be vetoed by the state’s Trump hating RINO Governor.

All 12 are as NH elects new house, senate and governor every 2 years.
There is no such thing as “gender affirming surgery”.
You can have your genitals surgically mutilated, but that only affirms your stupidity.
“NH elects new house, senate and governor every 2 years.”
Wow, now that’s sensible. It would be even better if they were a part-time legislature meeting only two months per year. Maybe they are?
California started going into the toilet when it moved away from a part-time legislature.
Governor Sununu has not commented on the bill.
The NH House also passed these two laws today.
Earlier in the day, the House voted against House Bill 264, a bill that would have allowed people to obtain a new birth certificate to reflect their gender identity; currently, people must obtain a court order for that.
The House also voted to pass House Bill 396, which would allow the state and public bodies like schools to differentiate based on sex in athletic competitions, incarceration, or “places of intimate privacy.”
So on these two laws they went 50/50.
HB 396 adds this language to the standard discrimination law terminology.
II. The general court also finds that, notwithstanding New Hampshire’s fundamental commitment to treat all persons without discrimination and with equal dignity and respect, which commitment the legislature fully accepts and strongly endorses, there are certain limited circumstances in which classification of persons based on biological sex is proper because such classification serves the compelling state interests of protecting the privacy rights and physical safety of such persons and others. The legislature finds that permitting classification of persons based upon biological sex serves this compelling state interest in the 3 circumstances described in RSA 354-A:25-a.
2 New Section; Law Against Discrimination; Classification of Persons Based Upon Biological Sex. Amend RSA 354-A by adding after section 25 the following new section:
354-A:25-a Classification of Persons Based Upon Biological Sex. Notwithstanding RSA 354-A:2, XIV-e or any other provision of this chapter or any other law or regulation, it shall not constitute unlawful discrimination based on sexual or gender identity for any person or organization, public or private, to classify based on biological sex with respect to the following matters:
I. In the construction, maintenance, operation, and use of lavatory facilities or locker rooms designed for usage by multiple persons at the same time, even if such facilities have individual urinals, stalls, or similar apparatus.
II. In athletic or sporting events or competitions in a sport or similar activity in which physical strength, speed, or endurance is generally recognized to give an advantage to biological males.
III. In the operation, maintenance, and use of facilities designed for usage as prisons, houses of correction, juvenile detention or commitment centers, mental health hospitals or treatment centers and like facilities to which persons may be committed involuntarily.
Does this bill prevent minor girls from amputating their breasts to appear more male?
