The Ukrainian Financial Panic
Armstrong Economics ^ | 31 Dec23 | Martin Armstrong

Posted on 12/31/2023 6:46:27 PM PST by delta7

I have warned that Zelensky will go down in history as the evil ruler he truly is. And for those who constantly want to pretend this is Russian propaganda, tell that to the 500,000 Ukrainian soldiers who are dead and all the broken homes Zelensky has left behind, along with the 8 to 10 million who have fled Ukraine. Worse still, he is making it a criminal act to flee the country and avoid his draft to justify the EU arresting Ukrainians and deporting them back to be sent to their death on the front lines.

The idea of drafting another 500,000 Ukrainians to be sacrificed on this Neocon Altar for nothing more than a territorial grab of the Donbas is causing absolute panic sweeping the country. Zelensky’s penalties are to be introduced for those who refuse to comply.

Ukraine’s financial system is on the brink of collapse. Our Ukrainian sources are reporting that there has been a run on ATMs in Ukraine. Apparently, Ukrainians have withdrawn about a billion dollars from their accounts in a single day! We are looking at a financial crisis unfolding in the Ukrainian banking and financial system thanks to Zelensky’s legislation intended to force conscription to raise another 500,000 people to be sent to the frontline. As part of this bill, Zelensky intends to isolate people who evade the draft by removing them from carrying out any financial transactions or selling property.

As a result of Zelensky’s proposed law, Ukrainians are in a state of panic. They have been plundering their accounts and are now hoarding cash and abandoning the banks. Our model warns that Ukraine will NEVER succeed in this war, and it may no longer even survive as a nation-state post-2026. Indeed, 2026 is showing up on both the ECM for Ukraine as well as on the ECM based entirely on the beginning of this proxy war against Russia. Zelensky’s new law also lowered the age and introduced three months of basic training for 18 to 25-year-olds.

The conscription age is to be lowered from 27 to 25 years; The introduction of basic three-months-long military training for all Ukrainian citizens aged 18 to 25 in every educational establishment; The introduction of optional military service for persons aged under 25 who were not able to complete basic military training;

It does not matter how many Ukrainians Zelensky throws into this meat grinder. Ukraine will NEVER prevail over Russia. The West knew this would be the outcome. They were simply using Ukraine to weaken Russia for the kill, which they hoped would be delivered by NATO. That is why they are now prodding the Baltic states to wage war with Russia to justify NATO troops to engage Russia head-on. Financial support is waning because they know Ukraine is just cannon fodder.

Zelensky is becoming perhaps the most hated Ukrainian leader to date. I would not put it past a coup unfolding with his assassination that they would probably try to blame on Putin.

Many in the government now see that this has never been about protecting the Ukrainian people. Even the local Ukrainian Press published a story about how Boris Johnson came from England to kill any peace deal. This has been nothing about just sacrificing Ukrainians to weaken Russia.

When we compare the Ukrainian and Russian currencies, we can see that the critical climax of the Ukrainian financial crisis appears to be by March, which is the time of the Russian election. We may see this push to raise another 500,000 Ukrainians to be sent to the front lines as the driving force that coincides with the Russian election, whereas May 7th is the swearing-in date of the next term for the President of Russia.

Here is what is wrong with this article.

1) Financial gurus always like to toss around the word “collapse”, and it is never defined. It is very hard for any country with a Central Bank to “collapse”. Money can be created from nothing so people can eat. So neither Russia nor Ukraine are going to economically “collapse”. It is just wrong. Not absurd. Wrong.

2) No one knows what the casualty count is for both sides. Russia does not know Ukraine’s losses and Ukraine does not know Russia’s losses. They know their own. Certainly no one online or quoting anything from online knows anything.

3) Zelensky is not evil. He came to power as a Swamp drainer and defeated the US preferred candidate, who had been installed as a puppet in the 2014 coup. He then got co-opted, mostly via foreign aid. And then in December 2021 he said he would pursue nuclear weapons. It was probably a nearly accidental speech and not vetted by the US, but that’s what was in his speech and that cemented the war.

4) From that point on he has tried to be a stalwart defender of his country, though likely peace negotiations he was willing to pursue were denied him by the UK and things went well past co-opting.

5) A coup seems likely. His military people will first kill all the CIA and MI6 people present (who are expecting it and thus making it very difficult) and then try to run the country technocratically, flowing Russian gas and collecting transit fee. Life will return to 2013 normal.

Further

Zelensky ran on an anti-corruption platform and it was leaked that he had off-shore accounts himself.

He has opposed (and ignored) his anti-corruption bureau.

He has cancelled Elections.

Excellent points by Owen and AnthonySoprano, as is the usual way.

Happy New Year, gentlemen!

actions that according to prosecutors

Five years ago, I would have believed the federal prosecutors.

Not so much, any more.

That being said Martin Armstrong blows a lot of smoke and is not to be believed.

This is also possible.

When I see the term "commingling funds", alarms go off in my head. For the past 7 months, I have been providing support to our lawyers as they bring a lawsuit against a former property manager.

I have reconstructed the accounting records of the property from 2019. From Day One, my questions to management have generated far more questions than answers. The property manager commingled funds from 5+ entities to suit his purposes.

There's still a long way to go, to include amending tax returns for those 4 years.

Putin’s upcoming rigged election is already pissing off a lot of Russians. Duntsova (sp?) had little chance of defeating him so shutting her out of the election did damage to his tough guy image. If he’s so tough then why’s some unknown woman scare him so much? Why does Navalny scare Putin?

Why is Putin scared? What’s he afraid of?

This is worse than Dunkirk or even the Little Bighorn. This is the worst military debacle since the HMFIC of Tangut called Genghis Khan a plastic man...

I still detest Zelensky as much as the first time I saw his obviously criminal face. I do have new Ukrainian neighbors who are not awful. Wife and I get along, she has little translating thing on her phone so we can have brief chats. Her daughter is still in Ukraine keeping her cat.

A lot of good people on both sides of this farce are losing everything including their lives. We should have stayed OUT OF IT.

“Even the local Ukrainian Press published a story about how Boris Johnson came from England to kill any peace deal.”

I wonder how Brits, or Americans, know that it was THE WEST that made sure this war kept going, not Russia, not Ukraine?

Seems to me that anyone who doesn’t know the above shouldn’t be commenting on the war at all, and anyone who has been commenting here for the past 2 years and still denies the above is simply LYING - so why believe anything they say.

I’m sure you’re aware of the fact that your globohomo hero Zelensky extended martial law.

If martial law is not lifted, it would require postponing national elections until it is.

As Zelensky told the Washington Post in May: “If we have martial law, we cannot have elections. … If there is no martial law, then there will be [elections].”

How convenient.

Russian elections may be rigged, but at least they’re going through the motions.

Putin sent teams of filibusters into the eastern provinces, who were charged with stirring up an astroturf “separatist movement”. That engendered an “election”. It was soon revealed that the filibusters were in fact Red Army, and the “election” was rigged. So far this is right out of the post-WW2 Soviet playbook.

Ukraine responded by trying to drive the Red Army out of Ukrainian territory. Putin he’d better try for the whole magilla by sending an armored column against Kyiv, which got slaughtered. The rest you probably know.

Think about how we’d react if Mexico sent enough filibusters into California or Texas and started demanding that the state be returned to Mexico. (Think that’s not happening? I’ve seen farm workers in IDAHO wearing La Raza t-shirts. It’s just a matter of time.)

“Can someone tell us how and why this bunch of crap started.”

Ukraine is in the unfortunate position that Mexico is, in that its neighboring huge country will only allow it to go so far in being hostile to the US (which is also why the Soviets were never able to get control of Mexico).

Well, the Neocons (some of whom born in Ukraine, or direct blood lines there) decided to see what they could get away with there...and crossed a CLEAR Red Line that, literally every leader of Russia and plus Gorbechev had defined...so now they have to deal with the consequences.

This movie pretty much explains it all:
