Donald Trump has expressed concern that the Supreme Court could back attempts by Colorado and Maine to block him from the Republican primary ballot, according to reports.
Both states have moved to exclude Trump over his role in the January 6, 2021, attack by his supporters on the Capitol.
The states have accepted legal challenges to Trump's nomination that cite Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, which says office holders cannot 'have engaged in insurrection or rebellion'.
Trump has privately expressed concerns that the Supreme Court, to which he appointed three conservative justices while president, may side with Colorado and Maine so as not to appear 'political', The New York Times reported.
Despite the conservative supermajority on the bench the former president is worried the court will rule against him, a source told the Times.

You are a sockpuppet douchebag whose time left here is limited...С Новым Годом, comrade. ESAID.
"That "forYourChildrenVote4Bush" burner account had been dead-for-13-years; after I had you zotted from that thread noted below, now you're working from "forYourChildrenVote4"? LOFL. Bye, sockpuppet. But one last thing before you go again -- you know the way trolls troll is like a fingerprint, don't'cha, manbitch? Your EASL, your lack of control over tense and syntax, you realize AI is not your friend in that regard? Meow.
SCOTUS is fully aware that Trump is the victim of injustice to the extreme and if they don’t make decisions to rectify these misdeeds against the most persecuted man in history, then this country is in deeper trouble than any of us realize.
Yes, this does create an existential threat to the country.
If that is true, which I don’t bel;ieve it, then Trump would have lost his mind.
Got tired of using “unnamed sources,” so now they substitute “according to reports.”
I would say it’s 99.9999999% likely Trump will win.
And it’s 000000001% likely there will be a riot.
I smell B.S.
Trump has good reason to worry. Roberts has moved things in a liberal way in the past. It may never get to the courts for a vote.
Wrong

Proven banned sockpuppet. Uniquely f'd up syntax and grammar. EASL. Fingerprint. AI.
The issue is not whether Congress should outlaw abortion. The issue is whether OUR TAX MONEY should be used to PAY FOR ABORTIONS.
Congress and the MEDIA never mention that FACTOR because they wish to disguise the truth.
Is it because of his lack of ability, or is it because there are no GOOD PEOPLE working in the DC political arena ????
Some of them do. Ask Rue Paul. How long has DeSantis been wearing these boots?
The left is playing with fire, and they always over play their hand. 2024 will be interesting. Some people in Washington will be found wanting, while others will rise to the occasion.
I doubt Trump fears anything.
Libs never are afraid to appear “political”
Justices don’t have to vote yes or no. In fact, I wouldn’t be too surprised if Kagan and Sotomayor were subtly suggesting that the new Trump-appointed justices might want to recuse themselves. Of course they wouldn’t want Ketanji to recuse herself. But if they mentioned recusal, that could be where this gossip started.
Re: 101 - all good questions!
My own belief is that a criminal conviction is not necessary for someone to be disqualified from holding public office. But as you point out there are so many other questions.
A good but long paper is here:

I agree with you - narrowly crafted ruling so as to get as many Justices on board as possible.
In 2012 there was serving felon - WV native in a Texas prison who ran in the Rat presidential primary. He did quite well up again Zero.
