Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) blasted Democratic strategist James Carville, saying he should “shut the -‑‑‑ up” on criticisms regarding President Biden and his odds in the 2024 presidential race.
In a new interview with Politico, Fetterman responded to a question about Biden’s reelection campaign by slamming Carville unprompted, saying he would use the interview as “another opportunity to tell James Carville to shut the -‑‑‑ up.”
“Like I said, my man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing. And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent president. I’ll never understand that,” Fetterman added.

Manchin is done, short of challenging Biden for the nomination, which isn’t going to happen, he knows his gullibility in believing the party would honor their promises for his votes on their liberal programs was the last straw... Honestly, had the GOP run a stronger candidate he probably would have been voted out last time.... but the candidate they ran was just not remotely up to snuff.
But I digress, Fetterman is going to likely have a very successful career, and will be far more effective long term, that the Sr Senator from PA ever was... who should have been taken out long ago, but the GOPe, has refused to even take the field when he’s been up for re-election... and I suspect will do little to nothing this next Senate elections as well.
Its amazing how much they burned trying to push and absolutely unelectable turd like OZ, yet have repeatedly turned their back in other Senate races and just refused to take the field.
Certainly appears that his health and speech and audio processing seems to have improved, if the reports that have been coming out have been true.... if this is true... he’ll very likely be a Senator from PA for a very long time.

Fetterman was never the troglodyte the GOPe and their pundits tried to make him out to be.
Yes his stroke absolutely hindered him.. had he not had it, OZ would have handily lost by double digits, instead of only 6 points.
However, the narrative that Fetterman was some push over politically and worse yet that OZ was some great and electable guy, were ABJECT LIES pushed by morons out of DC and NYC on gullible folks willing to swallow their lies like a cheap whore in a back alley.
OZ was by far, the absolute worst candidate I have ever seen run for statewide office in PA as a Republican. The Senate race was over the second he was the nominee, period. Anyone telling you otherwise is either a flat out liar, or a fool.

OZ was a CRAP candidate, underperformed TRUMP’s 2020 numbers EVERYWHERE... in terms of vote percentages... there were only 5 counties I believe in the entire state where OZ met or beat Trump’s 2020 numbers in PA.
OZ underperformed in DEEP RED COUNTIES... UNDERPERFORMED IN PURPLE COUNTIES (The places he was supposed to do better than a typical R)... Underperformed in BLUE counties.
OZ was, without any question, the worst candidate I have ever seen run for statewide office as a Republican in PA in my life. Only reason he didn’t lose by double digits was because Fetterman couldn’t campaign because of his stroke.
Those who keep trying to say Election Fraud is why Oz lost are just fools. Democrats actually put less votes in the box than the last Off year senate race here... and still beat OZ handily.

I have no doubt that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump (see my tagline). But I think Fetterman beat Dr. Oz legitimately in 2022.
I know folks in PA who had Trump signs out in 2020, and Fetterman signs out in 2022. It’s weird, I know. Here’s my explanation for that. Fetterman’s campaign was run superbly. Very impressive.
On the other hand (as HamiltonJay noted earlier) Dr. Oz was a terrible fit for Pennsylvania. And to make things even worse, Oz’s campaign ads were laughably bad. They had Oz wandering around PA factories like he was lost.
If the GOP were smart, they’d make that election a case study on what NOT to do. But the GOP is not smart. They will learn nothing.

PA Senate race was over second Oz became the nominee... Problem with PA is, the GOP leadership are still operating 20 years or more out of date.
They were happy with either OZ or McCormick. The GOP faithful pretty much loud and clear told them they didn’t like either of them that much... But when Barnette got some exposure and started to threaten at the end they went after her with lies and attacks the likes of which I have never seen them unleash against any democrat.
I guarantee this much, had Barnette been the candidate, and gotten the financial backing that OZ got, she would have outperformed OZ’s numbers handily.... but the establishment will never ever accept someone like her as a candidate.
Look at this coming cycle, they are trying to push McCormick this time... Now McCormick would have likely outperformed OZ, but I still doubt he would have won... Fetterman’s stroke may have allowed him to eek in, but reality, he probably would have lost by 3 +/- even with the stroke.
It is a presidential election this cycle, so McCormick may get in, depending on Presidntial race and coat tails, but even if he does, he’s still a globalist country club republican who isn’t going to do anything but what the establishment wants should he win.
The GOP of PA will never ever let anyone be the nominee who isn’t the right kind of “republican”.

I don’t think any Republican could have won. Fetterman convinced blue collar GOP\Rat\Independent voters he was just like one of them. He made that sale during his run for lieutenant governor. Nothing happened subsequently to change their view.
