Mediaite reported: “Posobiec is unknown to 72% of Americans and even less popular to Republicans, 75% of whom don’t know who he is. The same is true of Pool; 69% of Americans and 74% of Republicans have never heard of him.”
Highly popular podcaster Tim Pool has also been swatted numerous times over the years.
Tim Pool was swatted while he was doing a livestream last year.
“Hey, the cops just walked in,” Tim Pool said.
“Somebody swatted us,” a co-host said.
Tim Pool explained to his audience that someone made a fake police report that there was an active shooter at his studio.
Two police officers burst into Pool’s studio and told him they received a call that two people had been shot and killed.

Following the fatal kidnap of Lindbergh’s baby, Congress made kidnapping a federal crime punished with the death penalty.

Unlike many European democracies, we have no national uniformed police.
In France (for example) the Gendarmarie would be involved in investigation, pursuit and arrest.
Apparently it’s less egregious to swat those who are unknown and unpopular.

Finding the perp would probably require, among other things, getting access to the phone company database and require the phone company to assist. While the Feds can do that because they control the certificates that allow companies to operate, generally, companies do not cooperate with local police. The company I worked for when one of the employees was murdered sent around an email instructing us to stone wall any questions. (I sent the email to the investigators along with the written company policy which said, essentially, the same thing.)
Bullcrap to argue that the local police are not cybercops. It violates an entire raft of Federal law involving telecommunications, terrorism, and threats against a sitting Congressman. The FBI has easy jurisdiction AND the technical capability to easily solve this. The locals and FBI would easily collaborate on this if it targeted any leftist politician or media personality.
