Costa: Support for Trump Is ‘Noticeably Soft,’ Voters Not Totally Committed
Breitbart ^ | 12/24/2023 | Pam Key

Posted on 12/24/2023 12:04:19 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

CBS News chief election and campaign correspondent Robert Costa said Sunday “Face the Nation” that he had noticed on the campaign trail that Republican voters support for former President Donald Trump was “noticeably soft.”

Partial transcript as follows:

MARGARET BRENNAN: To the campaign trail. Bob Costa, I know you’ve been out there a fair amount. What are you taking away from what people across the country are hearing? They’ve already written off Washington as broken a long time ago, right? But what are they focused on and concerned about?

After 6 years of liberals endlessly explaining to each other how Trump supporters think, you'd think they'd finally figure out that they have no idea what they're talking about.

But if they ever got smarter, they wouldn't be liberals for long.

What politician doesn’t have flaws?

And whatever Trump’s flaws may be, they pale in comparison to the other politicians.

Obama support was soft in 2012, didnt matter. Biden will be softer than 2020, doesnt matter. Even without fraud, enthusiasm does not always determine victory. I’m not as enthusiastic about Trump as I was before, but still will craw over broken glass to vote for him. Can any non pyschopathic freepers honestly say that Trump has done anything to endear us to support more or as much as we did in 2020? Trump not winning in 2020 is 1000% his fault and look what it has cost our country. He was the most powerful man in the world, complained about a steal that was going to happen and then did absolutely nothing about it except to complain about it. Remember “we caught them red handed!”. Still waiting for that. After elmer fudd stabbed him in the back with russiagate, he let the establishment pick another bushite AG, in Barr. If the most powerful man doesnt have a clue and doesnt have any discernment to appoint the right people to preserve his presidency, how can his supporters support be anthing but soft?

“I know of no one who thinks he has no flaws.”

There are those weasel words again.

Questions:

Do you know of ANYONE who believes that any mere human being is without flaws?

Do you know of any national leader who was/is without flaws?

Why is it that people are quick to mention that Trump has flaws when they don’t apply that standard to anyone else?

Isn’t a person just a little stupid to believe that a mere human being is without flaws?

Do you have any flaws?

The Dem voters are the ones who need to be committed.

Trump supporters are enthusiastic. That’s practically a “settled science” style fact. The thread on Haley today had a photo of a bursting at the seams Trump rally that looked like a Super Bowl victory celebration in the winners’ city.

We must not forget that old special issue of NR to hit Donald Trump from all sides as the villain who could never win the presidency.
